The Quiver API gives you programmatic access to Quiver Quantitative’s alternative data: stock trades by members of Congress, corporate insiders and Donald Trump, hedge fund 13F holdings, government contracts, lobbying, PAC donations, off-exchange (dark pool) volume, patents, layoffs and more. Every dataset is mapped to stock tickers. There are two ways to use the data:
  • REST API. Send requests to https://api.quiverquant.com with the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY and get JSON back.
  • MCP server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI assistant to https://mcp.quiverquant.com/ and ask questions about the data in plain language.
Both use the same Quiver account and plan.

Quickstart

Get an API key and make your first request in a few minutes.

Connect the MCP server

Use Quiver data from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other AI tools.

See Plans and data access for which plan includes each dataset.

How requests and responses work

  • Base URL: https://api.quiverquant.com. Endpoint paths start with /beta/, for example /beta/live/congresstrading.
  • Authentication: every request needs your API key in the Authorization header. See Authentication.
  • Responses: JSON. Most endpoints return an array of records. A few paginated endpoints, such as Bulk Congress Politicians, return {"data": [...], "pagination": {...}}. Each endpoint’s reference page shows its exact response.
  • Limits: each endpoint has a per-account rate limit, from 100 requests per minute down to 5 per hour for bulk endpoints. See Rate limits and pagination.
