Every dataset belongs to a plan. The Hobbyist plan covers congressional, political and government data; the Trader plan adds insider trading, hedge fund 13F holdings and other SEC data. Hobbyist and Trader are for personal use. For commercial use you need the Startup or Enterprise plan, which include every Hobbyist and Trader dataset.

Which plan includes which datasets?

New Constructs earnings distortion scores are a separate partner subscription, not part of these plans. The rate limits page lists every endpoint with the plan it needs. In the API reference sidebar, endpoints that need the Trader plan or a New Constructs subscription have a Trader or New Constructs badge. Endpoints without a badge are in every plan.

Can I use Quiver data commercially?

Only on the Startup and Enterprise plans.
  • Hobbyist and Trader are for personal, non-commercial use.
  • Startup includes commercial use rights for companies with under $1 million in annual revenue.
  • Enterprise includes commercial use rights for organizations with over $1 million in annual revenue. Contact us for pricing.
The terms of service set out what each plan allows.

How much do the plans cost?

New Startup subscriptions get 50% off their first year. These are list prices as of November 2026; the pricing page always has the current prices and any promotions.

What happens if my plan doesn’t include a dataset?

The API responds with 403 and {"detail": "Upgrade your subscription plan to access this dataset."}. You get the same response if you have no active plan, for example after your subscription ends. Your dashboard shows your plan and its status.

Does the MCP server use the same plan?

Yes. The MCP server checks the plan on the Quiver account you sign in with, or the account that owns the API key you send. Its search_datasets tool works without a plan; every other tool needs an active one.
